THE GREATER HICKORY CLASSIC FOUNDATION
In 2003, the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn established the Greater Hickory Classic Foundation to guide all aspects of the tournament – including the donation of all net proceeds from the tournament to charities throughout the Catawba Valley region. To date, the tournament has raised more than $400,000 for area organizations.
In 2005, the Foundation was officially recognized as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn tournament staff operates under the auspices of the Foundation and is responsible for all facets of tournament development and management.
