Thursday, June 2, 2011 Open Qualifier Lake Hickory CC & Monday, June 6, 2011 Qualifier Jackson Course

The Open Qualifier will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Lake Hickory CC (Catawba Springs) with the Qualifier being held Monday, June 6, 2011 on the Rock Barn Golf & Spa’s Jackson Course 12 noon. The Monday Qualifier draws professional golfers from around the Carolinas to compete for two playing spots in the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn. Fans enjoy coming out to this competition and cheering on their local favorites.

Open Qualifier Results:

The top-four finishers from today’s Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn open qualifier have claimed the final four spots in the Greater Hickory Classic:

1. 62        – James Mason
2. 64        – Dave Rummells
3. 65        – Roger Chapman
4. 66        – Gene Jones

– Robert Thompson

**With three golfers tied for the final transfer spot into the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn, the three golfers started a playoff on the 10^th hole of the Jones course.  Jurkowitz won the playoff with a par on the fifth hole, which was hole No. 14.
